Student Projects
Four graduate students in the Community and Regional Planning (CRP) completed thesis projects related to economic development. These included:
Northeast Oregon Economic Development District CEDS. A graduate student is working with NEOEDD on updating the regional profile for the CEDS. The emphasis is on using new tools recently released by EDA (clustermapping.us and www.statsamerica.org, and others).
Ski Oregon Economic Impact Analysis. A graduate student is assisting us with the overall Ski Oregon effort and will be researching the linkage between attitudes about sustainability and skiing.
Impact Investing project development. MBA student teams completed preliminary feasibility studies to support regional economic development projects. The projects involved scoping equity investment funds to address local business capital access, investment fund for municipal water infrastructure, and to equity generation for lower income housing.
